About the Observer
Who watches the watchers?
The Madison County Observer has covered the county's affairs since a date we've chosen not to disclose, filed from an undisclosed office whose lease is, as far as we know, current.
We specialize in a particular kind of reporting: the zoning hearing that runs long, the ribbon-cutting that raises more questions than it answers, the county business conducted in plain sight and somehow still a mystery. We take it seriously. We are the only ones who do.
Everything printed here is satire. Some of it is also, unfortunately, true. We leave it to the reader to determine which parts, and to whom they should report their findings.
